Kokadi products are based on design, sustainability, trust and competence. Their philosophy is to combine ecological and socio-economic values and design wraps that are real works of art.
Production
Kokadi carriers and wraps are made from certified organic cotton yarn. The raw organic cotton is sourced in Turkey. No herbicides and pesticides are used. All cotton is carefully harvested by hand. Turkey is highly recognized in the textile industry worldwide. The social and environmental working conditions are particularly important to Kokadi.
Processing
Finishing processes ensure properties such as a softer surface. Kokadi uses only mechanical and thermal processes and does not treat the fabrics chemically. Thermal treatment (heating) has the added advantage that the wraps will not shrink after washing.
The fabrics are dyed in accordance with the global organic textile standard GOTS. You can be certain that the dyes are free of heavy metals and other toxic substances such as formaldehyde. The dyes are absolutely skin-friendly.
All Kokadi products are sewn in Munich, Germany.
Just looking at Kokadi baby wraps, you can see that they are made with a love for design and detail. Kokadi wraps are made in a complex jacquard weave that gives the fabric the all-important diagonal elasticity. At the same time, the double-lined seams ensure stability while babywearing. Even toddlers can be worn safely and comfortable. The wraps are about 70 cm wide and can be adjusted to suit a children from newborn to about 3 years of age.
Kokadi wraps are GOTS certified.
The GOTS certificate ensures that no harmful chemicals are used throughout the entire production and finishing process of natural textiles. Organic and non-organic fibres are not mixed and therefore organic fibres cannot be contaminated. All selected dyes and auxiliary means are harmless. Finishing is not achieved by chemical means but through mechanical and thermal processes.
